Countdown to Baby Sis and my Great Niece and Great Nephew

In less then 24 hours, this little precious girl will be here. We will finally see her pretty face. My daughter Melissa is schedule for a c-section at 745am tomorrow morning, so if you have some time will you please say a prayer for her? There is some anxiety with the surgery and all that is going on. But delivering the baby should ease her gallbladder problems. So tonight Maddie comes to spend the night with Grams and Papa and we will get her up bright and early so she can go to the hospital and visit her new sis. It'll be a long day but we are all so excited. I'll post some photos later tomorrow.

And I told you 2008 was the year of babies around here. These little twins are my great niece and nephew. It simply blows my mind when I say I am a great aunt, it sounds like I am soooooooooo old. Well, looking at this photo, I do look old and I look like I need to get more serious about Weight Watchers, PRONTO. I always show my weight in my face and stomach. Anyway sorry had to go off on a tangent for a moment. LOL But look at these sweet angels, the girl's name is Casey and the boy is Colin.

They were getting christened yesterday. When they were born they only weighed a little over 4 pounds each and they have doubled their weight since then. They are doing great and are just so sweet. This is my sister Gail and my Dad with the twins.

And here is the proud family. My niece Jenny and her husband Jon and the twins and big sis Bailey. I swear Jenny does not look like she just had twins a little over a month ago.

And I just had to show you Casey's christening gown. Isn't it gorgeous? Jenny had both christening outfits made from her wedding dress. I thought that was such a good idea. They were both so lovely.

Anyway, it seems like it is raining babies around here but it's fun. I will try to come visiting as much as I can this week, but it might be hard with everything going on around here. But I just have to know what everyone is doing out there in blogland so you know I'll be checkin in on ya. Have a great week!

Edited: I just added a new banner (again) LOL. Let me know what you think of it. I wanted a banner that had both my family and my love of travel in it and this is what I came up with. The photo on the left(in middle) is of Italy and the photo on the right is of Paris and it has my favorite beverage in it---coffee. :-) I can easily switch out photos as the babies change. Look at the new photo of my grandson Cameron in his Red's outfit and the one with his Mommy, Allison. Okay I'm done playing for the day, I really do have work to do but this is so much more fun. LOL

What a great post for a Monday morning! Congrats on all the babies. The pictures of the twins reminds me of my own twins' baptism. Hard to believe it was 13 years ago.

I'll keep your daughter in my prayers. Keep living in the moment!

Hi Joan,

I loved the dress Casey wore yesterday. I did the same thing for Steph's christening gown except I made it from my wedding veil. Also, if you know me, I do not sew, so technically I did not make it but a friend did and it made it extra special that it came from a part of my wedding. Both kids were just too adorable yesterday and so good.

Hi Joan :)

Melissa is in my prayers. I had two c-sections and although they're not fun, I have a feeling it's easier than do it the natural way.

I can't wait to see pictures of the newest edition to your family :)

Joan...
What an exciting time this is for your entire family...raining babies...huh? Well, would you PLEASE send some "thunderclouds" this way...we need some babies in our life!!

I will certainly keep Melissa and your entire family in my prayers. I pray for an easy delivery, a healthy and happy baby (she already has the "beautiful" wrapped up) and joy, joy, joy for your entire fam!

Now...you do NOT look like a grandmother...much less a Great-Aunt...so don't be too hard on yourself...I think you look GREAT!!

I loved the Christening gown...what a fabulous idea...I had actually thought of using my wedding dress to make any future grandbabies christening gowns...b/c my daughter did not want to wear it when she married....so I thought the next best thing would be for my grandbabies to use it...whenever that happens! What a special thing for your niece to use her own dress...made a wonderful day all the more special.

Thanks for stopping by with your sweet comments on my blog. As for an update on the new house...it's slow going...our architect had to have emergency surgery about the time we were to meet for our first drawing session...but he's mending and we met w/him last week...it's looking good...but we have tons left to do!

Blessings....I know tomorrow is going to be a great day in your household.

Blessings...

How exciting. I bet you can't wait till tomorrow to meet the new baby. The nice thing for these babies is that they'll have ready-made friends to grow up with. I had loads of cousins close to my age when i was growing up, and it was really such fun.

Really fun and the banner is great. You have my prayers for tomorrow. New life...how exciting.
The idea of christening dresses from the wedding dress is a fantastic idea. Much better than just sealing it up forever.

Good grief, woman! You guys ARE swimming in babies, aren't you? How wonderful, though!
I love the thought of those christening gowns being made from her wedding dress. That's extra, extra, extra special. And beautiful.

Now I will eagerly await the photos of Maddie's baby sister. Can't wait to see her! Wish them all well from your blogging friend, Kari, would you?
