Going to the Park with my Best Girlfriend!

The other day Grandma and Maddie decided to go and play at the park. Mommy was tired after being up most of the night with new baby sister Sydney and Maddie just needed to run and burn off some energy. So off we went and this little girl had a ball. The slides were her favorite, up and down and up and down she went over and over. LOL There were lots of Grandparents there with their grandkids but do you know I was the only one with a camera? And the only one taking about a few dozen shots as Maddie played on the slides.

She had so much fun she didn't want to leave. But I finally convinced her to take a little walk with me and she loved it. This park sits on the Ohio River, it is the same park where I go walking with my sister June. It is such a nice park and I love that I live so close to it.

Maddie decided to rest on a bench and call Papa on Grandma's cell phone.
If you click on the photo you can see her having her conversation with Papa. I wonder what she was saying to him? LOL

And I just love this photo of Maddie looking at the river. That is Kentucky across the river and yes the water is brown in this photo because of all the storms that rolled through last week.

See this photo, Maddie is in heaven in this photo. Do you know why? It's because this particular area of the park is like being in a wind tunnel. And this little girl loves the feel of the wind on her face, she thinks it's the best thing in the world. She laughs and smiles when the wind hits her face. It's so cool seeing things through a 2 year old's eyes. I was getting irritated with the wind because it was messing up my hair that I just spent a half hour flat ironing and then I watched her just loving the wind whipping over her face. Priceless!!

Maddie is just the most precious child! Your daughter is so fortunate to have you close enough to help her out after "those long nights" with a new baby. Even though my "baby" is 20, I can remember those nights like it was yesterday.

Hi Joan,

Looks like Maddie is having a great time by the river. I feel that way by the ocean myself. I'm sure she likes it there also. Our girls just loved the park when they were young.

What a sweet post. She is just so darn cute, I can't stand it. I like the wind blowing in my face too.

Aww those are great photos. And you're so smart to have your camera to capture such precious moments as Maddie enjoying the wind and looking out over the river. She's a lucky girl to have her grammy to do fun things with.

Makes you want to be a kid again...with not a worry in the world...Maddie is the age where well kept hair isn't at all important...maybe we adults should listen and be more like our kids and grandkids...we would certainly have more fun...at least!

She is an absolute doll...I know you enjoy your time with her...and I betcha she feels the same about you...how special for you guys to be able to build those bonds...early in her life!

Blessings...
Teresa

Isn't it amazing seeing things from the view point of a child. Sometimes I need to remember this more.
Maddie is a real cutie and its obvious she loves her grandma and papa too.
