I was cleaning my desk out the other day and came across this photo of me and my girls about ten years ago with Amy Grant. We went to her Christmas concert here in Cincinnati and were invited backstage to meet her. We were invited to meet her because she is good friends with Stephanie's(my niece, but I consider her one of my girls) aunt who lives by her in Nashville. My oldest daughter said "Mom, don't post that photo, my eyes are closed" Hey look at my 90's hair but man my nails looked good back then. LOL From the left that's me, then Steph, Melissa, Christina and Amy. Steph will be 21 years old this year so she looks really young in this photo. I do remember Amy Grant was just so nice and gracious to take the time to meet us. So that's my one and only brush with someone famous. How about you guys? Ever meet anyone famous and do you have a photo you would want to post? Hey, I put me out there from the 90's. LOL I don't know which time period was worse, the 90's look or the 70's.

I lived in California, so I grew up meeting famous people all the time. Some nice, a lot not so nice LOL
I think that pic is really cute! The 80s were scary for me LOL
I hope you're feeling better.

Since I lived in Nashville for almost 8 years, there was alot of the Country stars all around. Amy Grant lived about 4 blocks for us. Many of the stars belonged to our country club. You never knew who you might see out by the club swimming pool. I know they had pools at their homes, but their kids wanted to be with their friends.
Cute photo of you and your girls.
Hugs!

I just KNEW Amy Grant would be nice! Thanks for confirming that. lol I've never brushed up against fame myself. I have pictures of my sister standing "below" Steven Segal, though. He was out at her workplace (and Air Force Base) doing research or something for one of his films. They took lots of pictures and there's one of him up on the landing of a staircase and my sister is leaning against the wall right below him. I think that's as close as she got.
And you know me - I'm not that interested in meeting anyone famous. EXCEPT, of course, for a certain former catcher from Oklahoma who played with the Reds back in the day. lolol Heaven help that man if I ever see him in person. He'd better hope I drop a few pounds first or I may do him some real bodily damage when I go to grab him. :)

... I saw Sylvester Stallone drive by in his car. How about that?
I also met the producer of the Blaire Witch Project back when I was helping a friend get up her nerve to meet with him to discuss her book and movie idea with him. (He is the coolest. Only does spiritual "good" projects now.) Kevin is his name. All of a sudden I can't remember his last name.
Ewww, I can't believe you posted that of me for all your blogging friends to see! I swear, I've grown up a lot since then. ;)
I completely forgot we did that... oh, how I loved my outfit! Haha.
Amy Grant is SUCH a great lady. I'm not sure if I told you or not, but she and Vince sang at Weesie's funeral last week, and it was so beautiful!
