Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone!! This is just part of my family after the Christmas program at our church. My son and grandson couldn't make it so they're not in the picture. :-( I need to work on getting a photo of all of us but it's hard to get everyone together at the same time! I hope you all are having a wonderful Christmas week. Mine has been busy and full, dinners, cooking, wrapping presents etc...... I was off work all week, so that was nice. All the presents are wrapped, most of the food is ready( I'm trying to make it as easy as possible) and I guess I'm about as ready as I can be.
Another Christmas, another year....wow......where did it go? I feel better than I did last Christmas and emotionally I'm in a better place.........but sometimes if I'm real honest and don't just want to put on a brave face....I get sad for Christmas past...but in the end it's all about that little baby that was born in a stable. Have a wonderful and safe Christmas bloggy friends!! Thank you for your gift of being my friend!

Happy Memorial Day!

Happy Memorial Day! I hope everyone has a safe and happy Memorial day. I am off to the store to get some goodies to grill out today. I always think that Memorial Day is the start of Summer and Labor Day is the end of Summer even though the calendar doesn't officially see it that way. LOL We might be getting some rain today so I might be grilling in the rain, oh well............. Have a great day and I am getting back into the swing of things and will be around to visit everyone this week! Be safe!

Halloween ~ 2008

Here's a few photos of our Halloween ~ 2008! Aunt Stephanie and little Sas (aka Sydney). Sydney was not sure what all the fuss was about and just was happy to be held.

At one point we bundled her up in a throw to keep her warm.

Even the dogs in the neighborhood were dressed up. This pup lives a few doors down from us and is so cute! I think I need a puppy......LOL

My niece Allison came over with her Mom(my sister June) and Coco the wonder dog. I think seeing Coco made Maddie's night. She loves that little dog.

My pretty ballerina/fairy girl!

One more photo of the three grand kiddies all dressed up for Halloween!

Cameron and Daddy(aka our son Jim)!

Cameron and Sydney. Do they look confused or what? They both kind of look like they're saying, what's all the fuss about and why are these big people getting so excited and taking so many photos? LOL

Cute little guy...............
Cameron and Sydney are just a couple of months apart in age so it's funny to watch them discover each other. Cameron really wanted Sydney's pumpkin bib.Ahh, forget about the bib, your nose looks pretty interesting.............

Look at Cameron's face, he looks like he's ready to rumble. I have a feeling these two will be good buddies. It was a fun evening! Did everyone remember to fall back last night? I changed all the clocks before we went to sleep and couldn't figure out why it was so light in our bedroom when we woke up. LOL Our weather forecast for the week here in Cincy promises to be beautiful all week. In the 60's and 70's with sunshine, you can't get better then that. Maybe a little trip to the zoo with the grand kiddies would be fun. :-) Have a good week!

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

Happy Memorial Day Weekend ya'll!! Hope you all are having a fun and safe weekend. If you have some time go to KLOVE and thank our troops. They have a link where you can write you own personal note of thanks to all who serve our country. Thank you to all who are serving and who served! We are just hanging out this weekend. Our pool is opened but the only thing swimming in it are the ducks who think it's their personal lake. UGHHHH!!! They are dirty and messy. Last year the Mama duck brought her babies back to our pool to take a swim and of course the babies jumped in the pool but could not get out. So my daughter Christina had to get the skimmer and scoop them out. And what did the Mama duck do while Christina was helping the babies? She literally squeezed herself under a small opening at the bottom of our fence that surrounds the pool and ran into the woods. Talk about a Mommy Dearest! LOL When we got all the little ones out of the pool they all ran off to the woods also. We never seen them again until this spring. If anyone knows how to stop the ducks from swimming in our pool, let me know. They leave nice little calling cards all over the concrete. :-) So we are going to grill out and just relax all weekend, we are suppose to have some nice weather. Memorial Day is always the beginning of my favorite time of year. I love Summertime!! Have a wonderful holiday!

Easter Memories

Before and during all of the excitement of Michael Cameron's(MC) birth,we did manage to celebrate Easter. It was a little chilly in Ohio this past weekend but it's been warming up nicely this week. Here's a taste of the holiday.

After church on Saturday, Maddie came back to our house with her Mommy and Daddy to color eggs. I'm not sure what she thought about this but she had fun. Actually, Papa and Daddy were more into this then Maddie. LOL
And here's a little taste of the brunch we went to. I'm not sure if you can see the detail in the ice sculpture and the watermelon boat. Click on this photo to see it a little bigger. There were 25 of us at lunch so it was hard to get a photo of that many people. Of course Allison and Jimmy didn't make it because they had gone to the hospital at 4am that morning after being up all night and the hospital sent them home at 7am, telling them it wasn't time yet. Then they were back at the hospital at 11am on Sunday.

I love this last collage of Maddie and her Easter egg hunt. She had a ball. Actually she thought the eggs were balls because she would pick them up and say ball and throw them on the concrete. She could not figure out why they wouldn't bounce. And then she would hold them so tight in her hands that they would break. She thought all of this was very funny. LOL Papa loves hard boiled eggs so he was trying to save them.

Anyway, hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. I am off this morning to the hospital with my daughter Melissa and Maddie. Melissa is getting some tests done. She has problems with her gallbladder when she is pregnant. It is very painful and she did have the same problem with Maddie but it went away when she delivered and now it's back with a vengeance with this pregnancy. Not sure what they can do about it when she is more than 7 months pregnant but hopefully they can give her some relief. If you can say a little prayer for her, it's harder this time taking care of a toddler and being in pain and not getting enough rest. Have a wonderful Thursday!

Happy St. Patricks Day

Happy St. Patrick's Day! You gotta love a day devoted to all things Irish. I personally don't think I have any Irish in me but that's the beauty of St. Patrick's Day, the Irish don't care if you're Irish or not. They just love to have a good time and welcome everyone! I loved this little dog, which really has nothing to do with the holiday but it's cute!
On a totally unrelated subject, did anyone watch the beginning of the series that HBO has about John Adams last night? The series started last night and will continue for a few weeks. My sweetie and I watched most of it and are recording the whole series. Pretty good stuff and really good acting. We both love history and have read David McCullough's 1776 and his book on John Adams so we were both interested in how this series would turn out. It's sometimes hard to watch how brutal it was to live back then but it is good so far.
Anyway, I hope that today you have the luck of the Irish all day and everyday.

Christmas Day - Christmas Eve is below this post

Here are Kat's from Just a beach Kat sweet and sour meatballs. You can go here for a step by step recipe. They are so easy to make and oh so good. My sweetie ate about a dozen while I was making them so I had to make lots more. LOL I knew they were good when he kept coming back for more. Thanks Kat!
And here's my sweetie (in the shorts) telling one of his famous stories, usually about our kids. He's great at telling these stories and always has everyone laughing. That's his brother Kevin in the photo and his sister Karen in the background and Kevin's girlfriend Sherra sitting down.
And here's a classic Christina (my youngest daughter) shot and her friend Amanda. Maddie kept going under the dining room table to play and eat so the girls thought they would do the same thing. The funny thing is and you can't see it in this photo was that Maddie was watching them and looking at them like they were nuts. LOL Crazy girls!

Sandi from Holding Patterns gave me the recipe for this fudge. It's a Paula Deen recipe and when I first read about it on Sandi's blog I just couldn't believe it. It has velveeta cheese in it! But she convinced me to try it and she was so right, this stuff is awesome! There's something about putting the cheese in there that makes it so much better. Anyway it's so easy to make and if you want to try it go here to get the recipe. Thanks Sandi!
Here's my daughter Melissa and fellow blogging buddies and real life friends Kevin & Sarah. They stopped by for a visit and also brought me some pink Pinot Grigio in a pink Santa bag. Do you think my love of pink is well known? LOL Thanks guys!
Maddie was much more interested in Cleo's(my kitty) toys she got for Christmas then in all of the toys she got. Christina and Maddie had a ball playing with Cleo's presents. Cleo couldn't have cared less about the cat toys. LOL

.

And this last photo is of me wearing sandals. Everyone thinks my sweetie and I are crazy because he wears shorts on Christmas Day and I wear sandals. I think we are meant to be in a warmer climate. It was a wonderful time spent with our family and friends and I hope I didn't overload you all with too many photos and stuff. So now comes the taking down of the decorations, which I am going to work on today. I think I'd rather go shopping or go see a movie.

Hope all of your holidays were wonderful also!
