Christmas is coming! Maddie says let's dance to some Christmas music! This little girl loves all of the Christmas decorations. She loves everything about it, the lights, the ornaments, she watches Donald Duck as Scrooge over and over. My good buddies Kari from Just Livin Large and Donna from Made in Heaven also love Christmas. So Kari and Donna, can Maddie join your love of Christmas club? LOL We couldn't get her out of the Macy trim a tree shop. She's just in awe that so many pretties are in one place. Okay, I just checked over at Kat's countdown to Christmas widget on her sidebar(because I am too lazy to count the days myself) and it's 47 days until the big day. Are you ready? I'm not...................

And just because I thought this Santa was cute. Does anyone decorate their tree in a theme? I just put on all the ornaments that we have collected over 32 years of marriage, including ones my kids made when they were little. Anyway, I am no where near ready for Christmas this year, I did get some really cute ornaments from Celeste at Lea Rose, she has the most beautiful ornaments but we don't usually do the Christmas shopping until December.
Anyway, hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. We are going out to eat tonight and little Sydney is being baptized on Sunday, so it's shaping up to be a great weekend! Happy Friday!

The more commercial Christmas gets, the more I feel my name should be changed to Mrs. Scrooge. I hate shopping (I never know what to get)and I hate being in crowed places.
My tree is also a hodge-podge of what the children have wagged home and things I've picked up over the years.
You go Maddie girl! Uncle Bill would be so proud of you shopping in Macy's! I officially started Christmas shopping yesterday.

It is just so magical for the littlies is'nt it.
My SON has been counting down for months,Poor kid has to wait so long for Christmas then his bday is 5 days later!
Beautiful trees! I usually put up 3 trees (ugh)! I love Christmas. My tree in the family room is a country themed tree (my prettiest tree) and the others are decorated to match the room they are in. I'm with Maddie - I love Christmas!

I've done as much as 3 trees, LOL: needlework ornaments (located in the solarium), santa (in the great room), and everything else (in the dining room). Not sure that any trees will got up this year except for small tabletop ones!

Know what I've been doing the past couple of days??? Putting up Christmas stuff! I've got the main tree up and then I did a Grinch themed tree. Tell Maddie 'WELCOME TO THE CLUB'. LOL I'll be taking pictures soon. I'm in the middle of putting up garland...my least favorite part of decorating. I'm about halfway through it, though. Can't wait to finish!

Look at the pictures I sent you from Chicago and you will see the big tree at Macy's which used to be Marshall Fields. it was a great big celebration with Tommy Hilfinger and Mayor Daly there. Maddie would have loved it.. The tree with the black poodle that you have in one of your pictures; we saw there and I almost bought the black poodle as it looked just like cricket. It was almost as big as she is also.
