Okay I have been a bad bloggy friend in saying thank you for these wonderful awards I have been given the past few weeks and I feel bad because I really do appreciate them all but sometimes I get so busy I forget to post them and so it goes with these great awards. This first one is from Kat at Just a Beach Kat. Here are the rules of this award:

Okay that sounds like all of my bloggy friends so I am passing this wonderful award on to all of you. Thanks Kat for thinking that I am any of these things.

This next award is from Celeste at Lea Rea Rose. Thanks Celeste for this wonderful award. If you have never been to visit Celeste, please go over now and see her. She has a wonderful blog and she is so creative.
And this last award is from my Norwegian bloggy friend Lille Meg. I think you are the sweet one Lille Meg. Thanks so much and I am giving all of these great awards to all of my bloggy friends.
Now for some bloggy news. First hop on over to Donna's at Cottage Days and Journeys and enter her giveaway, it's a good one. And then hop on over to Brenda's Photo Challenge and sign up for the "YELLOW" challenge this week. Hey, I think I forgot to sign up. LOL I'll be right over. Do you know what's really cool about these challenges? I find myself looking at things I probably wouldn't give a second look at as I go through my day. Do you know how many things are yellow in this world? I didn't until I started looking around for the photo challenge. So even if you have never done a photo challenge before just sign up, it's always fun.
I've been walking alot at my beautiful park on the Ohio River lately in an effort to get my triglycerides down when I am tested again in two months. The doctor said that walking is the one the best ways to get it down. So here are some photos as I go about my morning walks. It feels like Fall every morning when I go for my walk. Our leaves are not as colorful as usual but this park is a wonderful place to walk and I am so grateful that it is just a few minutes from my home. That's it for me tonight, I am off to watch the debate and to also flip the channel to HGTV and watch Cindy from My Romantic Home on Rate My Space tonight. Have a good one!

Early Morning Walk

My sweetie and I took an early morning walk today to the park close by us. I'm not sure why this little park is called Story Woods Park but it is in the woods and is very pretty. So come on and take a little walk with me in case you weren't up at 6:30am this morning. LOL It really is nice to get up and start the day with a walk, I set our coffee maker for 6am and we grabbed a couple of to go cups and enjoyed our coffee as we walked. We used to walk this early on weekends all the time and I have no idea why we stopped because it is a great time of the day. No one is out yet on a Sunday and it is peaceful and quiet.
Here's the path going into the woods, there are alot of hills here and since the other park where I walk with my sister doesn't have hills..................well let's just say I could feel it. LOL
I was experimenting with my camera with these two photos. The first one I took and forgot I had my flash on and the second one is the same leaf but just a few seconds later without the flash. Just thought it was interesting how the same leaf looks totally different in the two photos.
And this last photo is my sweetie walking across the bridge. It's hard to believe that in a few short months this green foliage will be filled with the vibrant colors of Fall. It will be beautiful but I do love this time of year! It was a great way to start the day!!

Cold Morning Walk

My sister June and I walked this morning in the 17 degree weather and this is how the river looked from the walking path. If you click on the photo you can see the steam rising from the water. We were the only brave souls out by the river except for an old man walking his dog. If we had a mall close to us it would be great to go and mall walk but any mall is at least a half hour away. But it wasn't too bad, we were both pretty bundled up. My sweetie's taking me out to get some warm walking clothes this weekend, so I'll be ready to go. He was a runner and knows just the kind of gear I'll need to walk in the cold. Here's hoping for warmer weather soon!
