I'm back from Hawaii!! It might have been one of the best trips I've ever been on!! We left Cincinnati for a flight on August 28th and on the first lag of our flights, a man seated next to us had heart issues. He tried to get up out of his seat but started to fall. My daughter, Christina who is an emergency room nurse seen him start to go down and ran to help him. I was so proud of her!! She stayed with him until we made an emergency medical landing in Denver(we were suppose to go to Salt Lake). Anyway, by the grace of God we made our connecting flight and made it to Hawaii, tired but ready for a fun trip.
We spent three days on Oahu seeing the sights. I have to tell you Waikiki is a little too busy for me but I loved the North Shore of Oahu. We boarded Norwegian's ship, the Pride of America and made it our home for the next seven days and boy was it a wonderful home to come back too everyday after exploring the islands. People keep asking me which one of the islands we visited were my favorite one and I just can't pick one. Each island is so unique in it's own way. On Maui we snorkeled at Molokini..one of the highlights of our trip. By the way there were ten of us in our group!! We also went to eat at Mama's Fish House on Maui which is a not to be missed place to go if you ever go there. On the Big Island the main attraction is Hawaii National Volcano's park..it is awesome!!! And I can't even began to describe the awesome beauty of Kauai and the Napoli coastline. We took a small plane ride over the island of Kauai and it might have been one of the most fun things we have ever done. Pearl Harbor is also a place not to miss while you are on Oahu. One of the pics below is of me, my daughter Christina and sister Judy with Alfred, one of the survivors of the Pearl Harbor attack!! He loved Christina!! Here are some of my photos from the trip!! Most were taken with my iphone except the underwater ones!! The sheer beauty of Hawaii makes it so much fun to take photos!! Anyway, hope you all enjoy the photos...Aloha!!

A Busy Life
Ok so it's been busy crazy at my house and will only get more so this Summer! Guess who sold their house and had to be out quickly? LOL. The little girlies and Mommy and Daddy. So I have a full house until they find a new home. They are very excited about moving in with Gommy until they find a house.

Let it Be....
So in my quiet times with God, I keep hearing the same thing in my mind...let it be...and I'm thinking maybe He means let it go.... But no it's always let it be. So this is me letting it be. :-)
My sweet niece graduated from high school last week!! She was number 6 in her class!! I just know she has an exciting journey ahead of her!!
I took this pic in downtown Cincinnati the night of her graduation. It's a very old church that was built in the late 1800's but don't you think it looks like something you would find in Europe?
These two sweeties spent Saturday night with me. Of course Gommy had to get them a little stuff animal. Ha!
The pool is open for business. Anyone want to join us this Summer?
And who know hiking could be so much fun?? We packed red velvet cakes and water to keep us going. Did I tell you I'm going to Hawaii in a few months? I'm very excited to see all the islands. I've been trying to convince Maddie to let me take her Hawaiian doll Kanani with me. Haha!! I'll blog more about the trip as it gets closer!! Aloha for now!!!

Happy Monday that's really a Tuesday!!
I love the first holiday of the Summer, I really do. Yea, I know it's not officially Summer yet but in my mind Summer starts on Memorial Day and ends on Labor Day. So we celebrated both the holiday and my oldest daughter, Melissa's birthday.
Girls outnumber the boys in our family...LOL
This is Savannah's face after going in the pool for the first time this year...pure joy!!
And these two bunnies kept us entertained all day. They were playing and chasing each other the whole day long. I've never seen bunnies do that before.
We had cake and ice cream and I had forgot to get candles for the cake so I searched in all my drawers until I found some and when Melissa went to blow them out they kept lighting back up. haha..I forgot I even had those trick candles!!
And I tried this form of exercise this weekend. It's called a TRX. We do intervals of spin bike and than floor work. It's harder than it looks and I am sore today!! But it's a good sore!! And we got to spend some time with my niece Stephanie. I miss her since she moved to Nashville! So how was your weekend and what did you do? Happy Monday that's really a Tuesday!! :-)
