Brenda's Photo Challenge "Anything New"

It's time for Brenda's Photo Challenge and today's theme is "Anything New" and Laura Belle from I Spy Weekly Photos is our hostess today. Thanks Laura, this was a fun challenge. Here's my photos for the challenge and go here to see who's playing this time!

i want to feel the warm sand The start of a "brand new day." I took these photos when we were in Hilton Head and I just love watching the sun come up over the water. I wish I was there right now. LOL Doesn't it look like the clouds are parting as the sun comes up?

cant i just live near the ocean
The start of a "new year" This is my new calendar that the kids had made for us, it's filled with photos of all three of the grandbabies for each month of the year. This of course is January and a brand new year.

my three sweet loves
And this last photo is of my "new flower" that is blooming on my kitchen sink. It started off as a bulb in a planter and this pretty flower just appeared to brighten these grey and dreary days of winter. So it's a brand "new" flower. Just go with me on this, okay?? LOL Does anyone know what kind of flower this is because it seems I threw out the info on it, it's pretty and I didn't kill it(yet) so that's good.

hey i haven't killed you yet
I've been asked to pick out a new theme for the Challenge and I'll tell Donna by the end of day. I can't wait to see everyone's take on this theme. I'm off to Weight Watcher's early this morning(it won't be a good weigh in :-) but will get around to see everyone's photos soon. Have a good one!

The pictures of the sunrise are great. That's one of my favorite times in Hilton Head.

Such a cute idea for a calendar!

And I have no idea what your flower is. But I'll be checking back to see if anyone else knows. I'd like to have one.

Great job on the new pics. Those sunrise pictures are so beautiful! And how sweet of the kids to do such a nice calendar for you. Donna is right on the flower. I have several in my yard. Once the flower is done and the green is all gone, you can plant the bulb in your yard and it will come up every year and bloom.

Your photos are beautiful. What precious grandbabies and a joy to look at all through the year. How nice to have a preview of spring right in your home in the middle of winter, really beautiful and what a perfect picture of the sunrise. I love seeing the two people walking along the beach, too.

It appears there are more than one posts of calendars! I love that yours is personalized ... as far as the flower, could it be a Lilium 'Samur' ... it looks alot like the ones my son sent me for Mother's Day. You could goggle it and compare? Anyways, very nice shots!!

The picture on the beach is gorgeous. I've only been to the beach once and that was when I was 4 or 5. Maybe one day I'll get back there. You have a beautiful pink amaryllis plant too.

Hi Joan, Happy New Year!!
Loved your photos of the sunrise. Yes, the clouds do look like they are parting to let in the sun.
The calender is way wonderful. You can view your sweeties each and everyday of the year whenever you like.
The flower looks like a lilly of some sort, or the Amaryllis that someone mentioned. Beautiful too.

Thanks for stopping by. I have my redos done and will do a post soon. Having computer troubles, but getting fixed tomorrow. Yippe!!

hugs, Celestina Marie

Donna's right - it's an Amaryllis (heck, I don't think I can spell it either. lol).

And does this mean you're hosting the next photo challenge? If so, let me know...I will make a very special effort to participate this time!!
