Happy Birthday Sweetie!!

Happy Birthday to my sweetie (also known as Mike)! He's going to the Red's game with our son and son-in law today so I know he'll have a great day! If my scanner didn't decide to break down I could have posted some nice photos of my sweetie as a little boy but I guess you got a break sweetie. Hey, did you sabotage my scanner so I couldn't post any little boy photos of you?? LOL Happy Birthday sweetie, I love you!

Brenda's Photo Challenge

Okay, Cindra is hosting the photo challenge this week and if you go to her site you will see on her side bar all the people who are participating. The theme was communication and if I would have had more time, I know I could have been more creative with this but this past week was a little crazy so here is what I came up with. I was driving by the airport this week and seen the control tower that communicates with the planes and thought this was a good one to post. This is when I wish I had a camera with a bigger zoom because this is as close as the airport lets you get to the airplanes anymore. If you click on the photo you can see it better. A plane had just landed and was right in front of the tower.
This is the ferry that I take when I go back and forth across the Ohio river and I thought I would take a photo of their communication system that allows them to communicate with the other boats on the river.
And this last one are all the forms of communication that I cannot live without. LOL I really thought this one was a great idea and one that you could get creative with. Thanks Cindra, this was alot of fun! I'll be by and visit everyone to see their forms of communication. Happy Saturday!

Let's Do Lunch!!

Come with me to Don Pablo's for lunch to celebrate my sweetie's birthday. He takes us all out for his birthday and I'm sure he wouldn't mind you tagging along. Have a margarita, frozen of course. LOL This year everyone was able to go except our son in law so we had a nice crowd. All the grandkids came and look at little Cameron smiling for Grandma and her ever trusty camera. I think people must think I am a little nuts because I have that camera with me everywhere I go and I take pictures of everything.
Maddie thought the fountain in the middle of the restaurant was just the best. This Don Pablo's sits on the river so Maddie was so excited to see so much water.

And do you know how hard it is to get a photo of all three grandkids and have everyone cooperate? LOL Maddie wouldn't take her binky out of her mouth and Cameron and Sydney just didn't care. :-)
I did get a shot of Papa with the two newest babes.

Maddie just had to show Papa this wonderful fountain.
Here's a photo of everyone, they are building these high rise condos right on the river so that is why there is construction all around.

And while we were there these two little paddle boats were going up and down the river. We were on the Kentucky side of the river so that is Ohio in the background. For anyone not familiar with Cincinnati, it is situated right on the Ohio River and directly across the river is Kentucky and just a little west is Indiana. So we can hop right over the bridge and be in Kentucky where there is lots to do. Tomorrow is my sweetie's birthday so I'll do a post on that and I am hoping to get in on Brenda's Photo Challenge, the theme this week is communication. Once again it's been a crazy busy week, I just want to enjoy this time of year because I love it so. Have a wonderful weekend and I am going to try and catch up with everyone's blogs this weekend!

Going to the Park with my Best Girlfriend!

The other day Grandma and Maddie decided to go and play at the park. Mommy was tired after being up most of the night with new baby sister Sydney and Maddie just needed to run and burn off some energy. So off we went and this little girl had a ball. The slides were her favorite, up and down and up and down she went over and over. LOL There were lots of Grandparents there with their grandkids but do you know I was the only one with a camera? And the only one taking about a few dozen shots as Maddie played on the slides.


She had so much fun she didn't want to leave. But I finally convinced her to take a little walk with me and she loved it. This park sits on the Ohio River, it is the same park where I go walking with my sister June. It is such a nice park and I love that I live so close to it.

Maddie decided to rest on a bench and call Papa on Grandma's cell phone.
If you click on the photo you can see her having her conversation with Papa. I wonder what she was saying to him? LOL

And I just love this photo of Maddie looking at the river. That is Kentucky across the river and yes the water is brown in this photo because of all the storms that rolled through last week.

See this photo, Maddie is in heaven in this photo. Do you know why? It's because this particular area of the park is like being in a wind tunnel. And this little girl loves the feel of the wind on her face, she thinks it's the best thing in the world. She laughs and smiles when the wind hits her face. It's so cool seeing things through a 2 year old's eyes. I was getting irritated with the wind because it was messing up my hair that I just spent a half hour flat ironing and then I watched her just loving the wind whipping over her face. Priceless!!

The Stalker in the Bookstore

I see this guy in the bookstore. He's more dashing than George Clooney, more handsome then Brad Pitt, more distinguished then Harrison Ford.............
I stalked him while he was reading in the golf books, I stalked him while he was reading in the real estate.

I inch closer and closer to my prey...........

I just have to meet this fella........
Hey, it's my sweetie! And the guy who is more dashing then George, more handsome then Brad and more distinguished then Harrison bought me a latte and all was well with the world. :-)

Okay, I am very late for this photo challenge today. I just took these photos except the last one this morning. Nita from Red Tin Heart picked the theme of keys this time and if you click on her site and read her comments you can see who's playing along. It seems like I've been that little energizer bunny and I have been going and going all week and that is why I haven't been able to visit my friends in blogland as much as I would like too. I haven't even seen my sweetie very much, so this weekend we are going to spend some time together. This is the start of a busy time at work for him and I have been helping my daughter Melissa as she recovers from surgery and having a new baby so I feel like we have been passing each other alot. Don't know what we are going to do yet but I'll be a happy camper if we just go to Barnes and Noble and get a latte. Hope everyone has a great weekend! And Nita I loved this challenge of keys!
