Birthday Boy!

Yesterday was my grandson Cameron's 2nd birthday. So all three of the grandbabies went to lunch at Panera's and shopping at Target. And we picked "flowers". LOL These three melt my heart. Happy Birthday Cameron! You have the best smile and laugh in the world and seeing the three grandbabies play together and love on each other the way they do is priceless. And that's all I wanted to say today so have a great day!!

Fall Photo Session!!

We took the girls out the other day to get a few photos while the Fall colors were still around. This is at a park by my house on the Ohio River! All of the photos are straight out of the camera, I just haven't had time to play with photos lately. This one of the girls is my favorite!

Here's one of me and little Sydney! What you don't see here is Maddie off to my side not wanting to get in the photo holding on tight to a bag of sugar cookies I had brought along to bribe her with!! LOL

Sweet, sweet sisters..............

Anyway, we had a few really beautiful Fall days here in Ohio but are now back to rain and chilly. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. We are celebrating a birthday this weekend, which I am sure I will take lots of photos to share next week!! Happy Weekend!!

A Visit to the Firehouse

This past weekend our local firehouse had an open house and we took the grandkids to it. They had so much fun, Cameron is going to be a fireman for Halloween so he was very excited and even though these guys are still a little young to even understand what firemen do they loved the big firetrucks and equipment!

Everyone's checking out the big firetruck!!
Maddie had to explain to Cameron what's going on! :-)

They had the ladder all the way up with balloons on it. It was a beautiful Fall day here in Cincy!!

The kids were a little concerned about this dummy on the floor. Ha..........

And Cameron loved sitting on the big firetruck!!

Just one last photo of the fireman's boots sitting on the floor ready for them to put on. Okay, before I go today I have to tell you. I am meeting a fellow blogger tomorrow for the first time. Actually it's the first time I have met any blogger in real life and I am so excited to finally meet her in person. Can you guess who it is???? It's Kari from Just Livin Large!! I'm sure I'll have lots of photos to share! I'm pretty excited to finally get to meet her! I'm surprise any of you guys are still hanging with me since I've become a slacker----haha.........but some of you know that I've had a rough six months or so but am coming out the other side a stronger woman. Happy Thursday!!!

Baby Love............

So I got to love on all three grandbabies at the same time the other day, it's not often that all three of them are together so it was fun watching them interact. Hope everyone is having a good weekend. I am taking my youngest daughter to see Mama Mia tonight and am excited. We are meeting my best friend Vickie and her daughter and daughter-in-law for dinner before the show.
It is beautiful outside today, the sun is shining and it is probably only in the 70's with a nice breeze, just gorgeous. Have a great weekend everyone!

I'm Alive, I'm Alive.............

LOL Yes, I am still alive and have not forgotten my poor blog. I just seem to have some kind of attention deficiency which doesn't allow me to be able to focus on more than one form of electronic communication at a time. It seems like I can do twitter sometimes and facebook other times or my blog but not all three at once. LOL Do you think it's a menopause thing or something else?
Anyway, I have been keeping myself very busy. We painted the grandkids room and only need to do touch up work and the trim. I really love the colors and will show photos when it's all done.
Here's a collage of my visit to the Newport Aquarium with my son Jim and grandson Cameron. I know I am a bit partial about this little boy but he is about the cutest and sweetest little boy ever. He has the most wonderful personality, very laid back and smiles all the time. Everywhere we go with him people comment on how friendly and cute he is. Okay I sound like a proud Grandma don't I? LOL
Hope everyone is well and enjoying their Summer. I have some fun plans for this week, Maddie and I are going to see another movie and go get ice cream afterwards(her favorite thing in the world) and this weekend I have tickets to go to see Mama Mia at the Aronoff theatre here in downtown Cincinnati. This is one of my favorite shows and my daughter Christina is going along with my best friend and her daughter so it should be lots of fun! Have a great day and I am trying to get my electronic attention deficiency under control.........:-)

Up and my new lawn care service...........

So Gommy(me) took my granddaughter Maddie to see her first big girl movie in a theatre yesterday. She will be three in August so I wasn't sure how she would do for the first time. She was so excited the whole way to the theatre, she kept saying"I go to movie and eat popcorn and drink juice" LOL When we went into the semi dark theatre she was a little scared and jumped up in my lap until she felt more comfortable and then she decided that she could handle sitting in her own seat(which by the way she could hardly weigh down because she's so little). But she loved every minute of watching the big screen and eating popcorn. I think I had more fun watching her face as she watched this cute movie. What a sweet movie this is and if you have any little ones or just like to see something cute and fun yourself, go and see this film. When we left I asked her if she liked going to the movies and she told me that she wanted to go again so I took that as a yes. :-) I was going to take a photo of her sitting in the theatre but I didn't think the other people watching the show would be too happy with a flash going off like that. I am glad she likes going to the movies because it has always been one of my favorite things to do.

And here's my new lawn care service. LOL She works hard for all of two minutes and then................

it's time to stop and run down the hill..........hope everyone is having a good week. I plan on catching up with you all soon. Take care and have a great day!

Still Here...........

I'm still here and haven't fallen off the face of the Earth just yet, I just have alot going on in my life right now so I will probably not post as much as I usually do. I so appreciate all the prayers and emails you all have sent me. You ALL are such blessings in my life and I thank God for all of you. So here's my grandbaby photo post of the week. LOL You know I can't do a post without some grandbabies in them. My son Jim and I took Cameron to visit Aunt Christina at work this week and he had a great time playing on the computers and keyboards. What is it about keyboards that little kids love? :-) I hope you all are doing well and have a wonderful weekend!

Hanging with Cameron!

I got to hang out with my little grandson Cameron the other night and it was so much fun. What a joy he is. He has this cute little laugh that I will have to tape someday and post because it is so funny and it will make you smile. It was a beautiful Spring evening and we had fun. Here are a few photos! This first photo is my son Jim and the little guy taking a walk. Don't you love Cameron's plaid shorts?

Here's my cute little guy just hanging on the bench. He is always smiling.............

Here's Gommy(me) and Cameron.

This was so funny because Cameron kept trying to get to the pool and every time Jim would block him but he would try again. We'll have fun this Summer taking him swimming.

Here's one last photo of my two special guys. Hope everyone has a great weekend and Memorial Day! Do you know I forgot it was a holiday? Ha! I have made my way half way down my blogroll but my laptop keeps turning off on me in the middle of doing things on it. Doesn't she know I will trade her in for that pretty pink one if she doesn't stop it?? LOL Have a good one!

Weekend of 1st's

I just want to thank all of you guys for all of your love and prayers as I go through this hard time. You will never know how much they mean to me. I hesitated to even put my last post up there but the truth is that sometimes life is hard and sometimes we need to be honest and say we are having a rough time. So many of you have sent me private emails and are checking in on me and I really appreciate it. And through it all I see God's hand on me and that is where I put my hope and trust. But life being life goes on and this weekend was all about little Miss Sydney and her first haircut and birthday party. Anyone who reads my blog knows how crazy I am for my little grandbabies and her first birthday party and haircut were fun to watch. Here's a few pics of the big events! I will be around to visit soon, I really miss seeing what you are all up too!
Thanks again for everything. I said this before but am still blown away by the fact that even though I have never met any of you guys in "real" life I feel like you are my friends and I hope that someday we do get to meet in the "real" world!

Here's Sydney getting her first haircut. It was a beautiful day outside so she got her first haircut on her back deck from Aunt Christina!

Here's her first birthday party. It was a princess party! Don't you love her crown? She had no idea of what was going on and completely passed out after everyone left.

Here's I am with my hubby and the birthday girl. I never like photos of me but I love this one of all of us. Look at her little face. That's it for me today, I am hoping to get to visit everyone later this week. Have a great day!

Learning Lessons from Little ones..........

Hope everyone is having a great Sunday. Last weekend we stopped by Maddie's house to visit and Papa and Maddie spent some time playing with bubbles. There is nothing this little girl loves more in life than blowing bubbles or maybe playing with her talk chalk(sidewalk chalk). Maddie is now saying to me "I love you Gommy" she says it over and over and then she runs into my arms and gives me a big hug. Sometimes she will give me a big kiss too. It melts my heart and makes anything that is bothering me go away. Why can't we bottle that feeling and feel it always? Kids are so open and honest with their love and affection. If they feel it they say it or do it. As adults we learn to be more guarded and afraid that we will be rejected. Maybe as adults we can learn from little kids, like spending more time blowing bubbles and telling people we love them when we feel like it. Have a wonderful week!

Going To The Park!

Our daughter Melissa called us yesterday afternoon and wanted to know if we wanted to go to the park with her and the girls, their Daddy was sick so he couldn't join us. Yea, we love passing the sickness around in our family. LOL I was still not feeling the best but was fortified with enough Tylenol cold medicine to go. It was slightly overcast but still a nice Sunday afternoon. Sydney was all about the grass on the ground. I guess it's not like the carpet at home. :-)

And Maddie has a new bike so sometimes she rode it and sometimes she had Papa carry it. LOL This parks sits on the Ohio River and you can see the river in the photo below. This is the park my sister June and I take our walks in the mornings and we are so lucky to live by such a pretty place.

I think I am going to get me a bike so I can ride with her too. I have a pink Hello Kitty one all picked out(I am not kidding).

Papa and Sydney watching Maddie go down the slide. Maddie was all about the slides and even got Papa to take her down them. Papa was such a good sport because I know that it couldn't have been easy going up and down that slide.

Poor Sydney, she wants to join in the action so bad but she's just not there yet. She is crawling and trying to take off but she wants so bad to do whatever Maddie is doing. LOL She has pigtails in her hair, isn't she so cute?

Hope everyone has a wonderful week! Today is the Reds opening day in Cincy and it's chilly and rainy. I will wait to go to the baseball games until it's sunny and warm. LOL But GO CINCINNATI REDS!

Babies, Babies and More Babies............

Warning!! Lots of photos of babies ahead. I know I am breaking some unspoken blogging rule of too many photos in a post. LOL But I just couldn't pick which ones to post so I am posting lots of photos. Not that they are great photos or anything, did you ever try to take photos of lots of babies under the age of two? NOT AN EASY THING TO DO! They all look in different directions but some of the ones turned out funny. Cameron had a great time at his 1st birthday party, even if it was a bit overwhelming for the little guy sometimes. This first photo is of all the great grandbabies on my hubby's side of the family. It's the first time we have had them all together. From the left are my granddaughters, Maddie and Sydney and my grandson Cameron and my great niece Jaycee. I have more photos of this gang below.

Jaycee seems to think there's something very interesting in Cameron's ear!

Cameron loved all the presents he received but all of the kiddies loved this soft pretend sword!

I have this little alphabet learning toy that hangs on my refrig and all the little ones just love it.

Maddie is looking at Cameron and Sydney like "can't you two just act mature for once" LOL

Cameron is saying "I'm the winner" I have no idea what Maddie and Jaycee are looking up at.

Sydney says "not so fast birthday boy"

Look Sydney took it back.................

My three favorite guys, my son Jim, my sweetie Mike and my grandson Michael Cameron.

Cameron enjoying his birthday cake......................

What's a birthday without icing all over your face?

I told you there were alot of babies in this post. There seems to be a mini baby boom with my son's friends and they all came over to celebrate Cameron's birthday. Cameron was outnumbered by girls, he was the only little boy there, he's a ladies man for sure. LOL

Cameron and Sydney are going to be so funny together as they get older. I think she was using Cameron to try and pull herself up.

Maddie decided to take lots of photos of everyone. I don't where she gets that from. LOL

The birthday boy playing with all his friends and cousins. We had fun and I think he did also. Thanks for letting me play the proud Gommy for this post! Hope everyone has a wonderful week!
