So yesterday I was talking about how old a certain someone(me) felt after some young whippersnapper said something to her to make her feel like she had been alive in the dark ages. So what decides to come up and bite me in the face today? My day of birth!! Yea, today is my birthday and I have been on this earth for 53 years. When I was young(a couple of years ago :-) I thought 53 years of age was ancient but in my mind I still feel like that girl who worked in the post below this at her first job as a switchboard operator(if you don't know what a switchboard operator is, look at the post below this). So I am not that cute little baby(in the first photo) anymore and I am not that young 20 year old on the beach(2nd photo above) in a bikini(haven't been in one of those since that day).
But I'm not like this yet either :-). But I love this photo and want to be just like her someday(just not today).
No, I am just being me at this moment in my life and I am happy with that! So Happy Birthday to me and don't forget to take a piece of cake(it's chocolate) before you leave because I love sharing with you guys! P.S. My photos have captions today!

From one over 50 to another; Happy Birthday. It isn't the number of years, but what you do with them that makes it all worthwhile. Enjoy and celebrate each of those 53 years because without them; you wouldn't be here; you sure wouldn't have met and married your husband; and think of those three wonderful kids and now your grandkids. That makes those 53 years so special; doesn't it??

At age 30 you say 40 is old, but when you are 40 you say no I'm not old, 50 is old. At 50 you say 60 is old and so forth!
