Babies, Babies and More Babies............

Warning!! Lots of photos of babies ahead. I know I am breaking some unspoken blogging rule of too many photos in a post. LOL But I just couldn't pick which ones to post so I am posting lots of photos. Not that they are great photos or anything, did you ever try to take photos of lots of babies under the age of two? NOT AN EASY THING TO DO! They all look in different directions but some of the ones turned out funny. Cameron had a great time at his 1st birthday party, even if it was a bit overwhelming for the little guy sometimes. This first photo is of all the great grandbabies on my hubby's side of the family. It's the first time we have had them all together. From the left are my granddaughters, Maddie and Sydney and my grandson Cameron and my great niece Jaycee. I have more photos of this gang below.

Jaycee seems to think there's something very interesting in Cameron's ear!

Cameron loved all the presents he received but all of the kiddies loved this soft pretend sword!

I have this little alphabet learning toy that hangs on my refrig and all the little ones just love it.

Maddie is looking at Cameron and Sydney like "can't you two just act mature for once" LOL

Cameron is saying "I'm the winner" I have no idea what Maddie and Jaycee are looking up at.

Sydney says "not so fast birthday boy"

Look Sydney took it back.................

My three favorite guys, my son Jim, my sweetie Mike and my grandson Michael Cameron.

Cameron enjoying his birthday cake......................

What's a birthday without icing all over your face?

I told you there were alot of babies in this post. There seems to be a mini baby boom with my son's friends and they all came over to celebrate Cameron's birthday. Cameron was outnumbered by girls, he was the only little boy there, he's a ladies man for sure. LOL

Cameron and Sydney are going to be so funny together as they get older. I think she was using Cameron to try and pull herself up.

Maddie decided to take lots of photos of everyone. I don't where she gets that from. LOL

The birthday boy playing with all his friends and cousins. We had fun and I think he did also. Thanks for letting me play the proud Gommy for this post! Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Do You Think He Had Fun???

Well, what do you think? Does it look like Cameron had a good time on his first birthday yesterday? We were able to celebrate with him for a little while and Gommy(me) brought over some cupcakes and Cameron just loved his! We took off alot of the blue icing because it was just too much for a little guy. We are having the big birthday party for him at our house this weekend, lots more fun! LOL Yea, Gommy got carried away in photoshop today............LOL But I like that last shot with all the blue icing......don't you just wish you could dive right into that blue yummy goodness too? I am trying to make my way around blogville, it seems like I always get behind so hopefully I can catch up with everyone this week. Have a great Tuesday!

BRENDA'S PHOTO CHALLENGE ~ THE EYES HAVE IT~

Brenda is our hostess for Brenda's Photo Challenge this week and the theme is " The Eyes Have It". Thanks Brenda, I had alot of fun putting together these shots. Go here to see all who's playing today. These first two shots are of the peacocks when we were at the zoo the other day. I swear this one was stalking us. Weird looking creatures but beautiful, they almost look like they have a crown on their heads.

Here's Cleo's (my kitty)eyes. Do you know how hard it was to get her to sit still for this photo? LOL She would not cooperate and then she decided to doze off. How does a cat fall asleep while standing up? That is a question I would like answered. LOL

So then I had the first few shots I wanted but couldn't think of anything else to use and then I look across the room the other day while folding laundry and I see this big orange guy staring at me with these really goofy looking eyes, so Elmo became my next victim.

Talk about victims............LOL This chocolate bunny was the next one on my list to take a photo of, then I bit his head off. Well first it was his ears and then his head. Anyway, I thought these last two were fun and taking pictures should be all about having fun! Can't wait to see everyone's photos for this challenge! Happy Saturday!

The Zoo!

We had so much fun at the Cincinnati Zoo today! I have never been to the new giraffe exhibit and it is well worth the visit. You get to feed the giraffes, they are such cool animals and really quite sweet. This photo is of Maddie handing the giraffe his cracker, what you don't see is that she chickened out and handed the cracker to me to give to the giraffe and I got slimed by that giant tongue. LOL The keeper told us that they are fed rye krisp crackers and when I asked if any kids ever tried to eat the crackers he took a big bite and said that humans could eat them too. I think I'll pass........................

I just had to show you this peacock. He was quite vocal, if you click on this top photo of him, you can see him yelling. He scared Maddie to death but Sydney just looked at him like he was funny. These guys are all around the zoo and whenever Maddie seen one walking around she would hop in the stroller as fast as she could. I've never been able to get a photo of one fully opened before so I quickly grabbed a shot. But they are noisy little boogers............

Here's just a few more photos of the giraffe exhibit. We spent the majority of our time here. The girls have a zoo pass so they can go back anytime and see the other animals. It turned out to be such a beautiful day and the zoo was not very crowded. Maddie literally gave me one second to snap this top shot of her. I asked her if I could take one of her with the giraffe and she said "cheese gommy" and ran away. LOL Sydney had no choice but to have her photo taken in her stroller but she laughed and laughed everytime one of these guys came within her view.

Hi you cute little guy..........

These last three are photos of my sweet little girls(my grands). I took alot more photos but I'll save them for another day. I forgot how much fun the zoo is until I look at it through the eyes of children.

Anyway, hope everyone has a great weekend. I probably won't post again until the photo challenge on Saturday. I've been having some fun with this challenge and have some fun shots to share. I have all my photos taken but just need to look them over. There's still time to play so go here and join the fun. Well, I am off to class and tomorrow we are going to see Mickey Mouse Clubhouse as he passes through Cincinnati. Maddie is beyond excited..............

Let's go to Ireland for St. Patrick's Day!

I decided to pull out my photos of our trip to Ireland for St. Patrick's Day. We went to Ireland in February of 2003 and loved it there. It was the first time we were on a escorted tour and we both thought it was wonderful. We went with a tour company called Brian Moore but there are lots of tour companies to choose from. I think an escorted tour is a wonderful way to see this beautiful place. So here's a few of my photos. The top one is of me at the famous Blarney Woolen Mills. I bought a beautiful wool sweater here and I still have it, their knitwear is incredible.

I just loved the character in every town we stopped in............

This is at the Cliffs of Moher. These cliffs are one of the most amazing sites I have ever seen. Look at how high they are. Our guide told us about people being blown off the cliffs. Go here to learn more.

Everywhere we went the scenery was amazing.............

This is my sweetie kissing the Blarney Stone. I walked all the way to the top and just couldn't bring myself to lean over that edge, it really freaked me out. LOL

These photos are in Shannon, Ireland. I loved Shannon and Dublin. We also went to the Waterford factory where they make all the beautiful crystal.

This photo is of me at the Cliffs of Moher again. Yes, I was cold(it's very windy there) and it was before I wore contacts so that is why you see me in glasses in these photos.

It just amazed me of how old everything was. That castle was pretty chilly too. LOL

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed our quick little trip to Ireland on St. Patrick's Day, it is a magical place and the people are so warm and friendly. HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!
P.S. We have the luck of the Irish on our side here in Cincinnati today. The weather is going to be sunny and in the 70's. I will be outside!!
